0 to 6 years old

Child Development Account (CDA)

CDA is a special savings account. CDA can be used to pay for educational and other expenses at Child Care Centres, Kindergartens, Special education and more.


Infant Care/Child Care Subsidy

All parents with Singapore citizen children (including infants) enrolled in ECDA-licensed child care centres can receive a basic subsidy.Additional subsidies are offered to parents who meet criteria.

7 to 18 years old

Funding for Primary, Secondary & Pre-University Education

Edusave Account

Annual contributions of 

  • $200 (primary level); and
  • $240 (secondary level) 

to Singaporeans' Edusave account

Edusave funds can be used to pay for enrichment programmes organised by their schools or pay 2nd-tier miscellaneous fees and autonomous schools' miscellaneuous fees.

16 years old & above

Post-Secondary Education Institution (PSEI)

Post-Secondary Education Account

Post-Secondary Education Account to pay for approved fees & charges for approved programmes at PSEIs.


Post-Secondary Education Subsidy

The PSEIs also run a range of academic Continuing Education and Training programmes which are funded by the Government.

i.e. ITE, polytechnic, arts institution and university

Funding of 75% to over 90% of total education costs

21 years old and above

SkillsFuture Credit Account

For 25 years and above, $500 SkillsFuture Credit can be used to pay for courses on top of the subsidy.

Continuing Education & Training Subsidies

PMET: Up to 70% of course fees

Non-PMET: Up to 90%  of course fees


PMET: 50% of course fees (cap: $15/hr)

Non-PMET: 80% of course fees (cap: $17/hr)


For 35 years and above, Workfare Training Support (WTS) funds 95% of course fees for Singapore Citizens who earn $2,000/month or less.

For 40 years old and above, SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy offers up to 90% funding of course fee for SSG-supported courses,
and at least 90% of course fee for selected MOE-subsidised courses.
