Occupational Hygiene (OH) is the practice of: anticipating and recognising Workplace Health (WH) hazards that can cause disease or discomfort; evaluating the extent of the risks due to exposure to these hazardous agents; and controlling risks to prevent ill health in the short- or long-term.
Training for the OH Professionals WSQ framework is open to all industries as workplace health hazards are ubiquitous. However, the primary industries that may directly benefit from the training include refineries, petrochemicals and chemicals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, micro-electronics, etc.
