Enhanced MySkillsFuture Portal To Provide Personalised Recommendations To Guide Singaporeans Towards Achieving Career And Skills Goals

The enhanced MySkillsFuture portal will feature personalised recommendations for Singaporeans on courses and content which are relevant to helping them achieve their learning and career goals. This was announced at the third SkillsFuture Fellowships and SkillsFuture Employer Awards Ceremony, where 28 individuals and 32 employers (10 SMEs, and 22 non-SMEs) were recognised for their commitment and exemplary support for skills development and mastery, and lifelong learning. The awards were presented by the Patron for both awards, President Halimah Yacob.

Organised by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), the SkillsFuture Fellowships and SkillsFuture Employer Awards are tripartite initiatives, with evaluations made by a judging panel including representatives from the industry, the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), and Workforce Singapore (WSG). Digital platforms for better accessibility and user experience

To better support and reach out to individuals and employers on their SkillsFuture journey, SSG is expanding its digital offerings on the MySkillsFuture portal to provide them with readily accessible resources. 

Launched in 2017, the MySkillsFuture portal has undergone successive enhancements, including the introduction of digital certificates in the Skills Passport earlier this year. This feature allows individuals to upload their certificates.  Graduates from the participating education and training institutes will also automatically have their certificates uploaded onto the Skills Passport, and these can be easily shared with potential employers through MySkillsFuture and verified through the OpenCerts platform. 

The Skills Passport within the MySkillsFuture portal will be further enhanced in Q4 2019 to provide users with course and content recommendations to guide them towards achieving their career and personal aspirations. This will be done through the use of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, drawing on the data and information that individuals provide on the portal, such as their skills, qualifications and career goals.

At the same time, enterprises can look forward to a new dedicated portal that is designed for their business needs. The portal will provide easy access to relevant jobs and skills information and resources, such as self-help tools and relevant e-services. Employers can engage SSG and WSG, through the portal, on the schemes and resources to support their business transformation.
