Four Individuals From Biz HR Solutionz Pte Ltd, Charged For SkillsFuture Credit Abuse

Four individuals involved with training provider, Biz HR Solutionz Pte Ltd (“Biz HR”), have been charged for abusing the SkillsFuture Credit (“SFC”) scheme.

Zheng Zhenwei Eric, director of Biz HR, as well as Tan Yu Sheng and Sim CheeKiong, both of whom referred trainees to sign up for courses offered by Biz HR, were charged today for multiple counts of abetment to cheat then-WDA into disbursing SFC to Biz HR. A training facilitator, Yeo Junwei Joel, was also charged for falsifying course attendance records. Charges against these individuals are as follows:

1. Zheng Zhenwei Eric faces 150 charges under Section 420 read with Section 109 of the Penal Code (Chapter 224) for instigating trainees to cheat then-WDA into disbursing SFC to Biz HR by submitting claims for courses which were not conducted, Section 420 read with Section 109 of the Penal Code (Chapter 224) for conspiring with Tan Yu Sheng or Sim Chee Kiong to instigate trainees to cheat then-WDA into disbursing SFC to Biz HR for inflated claims, and Section 417 of the Penal Code (Chapter 224) for producing false course attendance records to then-WDA during its audit on Biz HR in 2016;

2. Tan Yu Sheng and Sim Chee Kiong faces 22 and 18 charges respectively under Section 420 read with Section 109 of the Penal Code (Chapter 224) for conspiring with Zheng Zhenwei Eric to instigate trainees to cheat then-WDA into disbursing SFC to Biz HR for inflated claims; and

3. Yeo Junwei Joel faces 31 charges under Section 477A of the Penal Code (Chapter 224) for falsifying course attendance records.

The punishment for each charge under Section 420 of the Penal Code (Chapter224) is imprisonment for a term up to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine. The punishment for each charge under Sections 417 and 477A of the Penal Code (Chapter224) is imprisonment for a term of up to 3 years and 10 years respectively, or a fine, or both.

SkillsFuture Singapore (“SSG”) takes a serious view of any individual, training provider or organisation that abuses its funding schemes, and will not hesitate to take action against those who contravene its funding rules and guidelines.
