More Enterprises Bag SkillsFuture Employer Awards For Investing In Employees' Skills Development And Lifelong Learning

A total of 27 companies, including 8 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and 19 non-SMEs, received the SkillsFuture Employer Awards this year. These exemplary employers lead the way in championing the skills development of their employees and building a culture of lifelong learning at their workplaces. 13 more employers received the award this year compared to last year. Separate award categories were also introduced for SMEs and non-SMEs to recognise the different human capital development efforts and practices of SMEs and non-SMEs.

29 Singaporeans also received the SkillsFuture Fellowships that recognise their skills mastery in their respective fields and their commitment to mentorship and the skills development of others. Each of them will receive a monetary award of S$10,000 to support them in their continued journey of skills mastery.

The awards were presented by President Halimah Yacob, the Patron for both awards, at the second SkillsFuture Fellowships and SkillsFuture Employer Awards ceremony organised by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). Please refer to

The SkillsFuture Fellowships and SkillsFuture Employer Awards is a tripartite initiative, with nominations and evaluations made by a judging panel comprising representatives from the industry, the National Trades Union Congress, SSG and Workforce Singapore.

“The SkillsFuture Fellowships and SkillsFuture Employer Awards are a pinnacle award to recognise individuals and employers for their commitment to skills mastery. We continue to receive nominations from employers and individuals across a wide spectrum of industries. Through these awards, we recognise exemplary employers that regard skills development and lifelong learning as a priority for their companies, and we celebrate the achievements of exceptional individuals with deep skills”, said Mr Choo Chiau Beng, Chairman of the judging panel.

Mr Ng Cher Pong, Chief Executive of SSG said, “I would like to congratulate the award recipients and commend them for their passion for learning. We are giving out these awards for the second year and believe that the award recipients will continue to serve as role models for other Singaporeans and employers in their efforts for skills development. For employers, we have introduced separate categories for SMEs and non-SMEs to recognise their human capital development efforts.”
