What is the SkillsFuture movement?
SkillsFuture is a national movement that was launched in 2015 to provide Singaporeans with the opportunities to develop their fullest potential throughout life, regardless of their starting points.
Over the years, SkillsFuture continues to be the driving force for individual and enterprise-led upskilling and reskilling efforts to prepare our workforce for a rapidly evolving economy. The Next Bound of SkillsFuture , announced at Budget 2020, supported Singaporeans, especially mid-career workers to continue building skills to stay relevant in their careers and enhanced the role of enterprises in developing their workforce.
As SkillsFuture embarks on the next phase, it is a key pillar of the social compact under Forward Singapore. The SkillsFuture movement supports Singaporeans in developing future-ready skills, and building fulfilling and resilient careers, it enables individuals and businesses to thrive, and supports a vibrant economy. The movement is enabled by a strong partnership amongst the Government, individuals, employers, unions and industry partners.
