WSQ Training Supports the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) for the Security sector
To create a roadmap for raising basic wages, skills, and productivity that aims to reduce the industry’s reliance on excessive overtime hours while meeting manpower needs, the Security Tripartite Cluster (STC) has provided recommendations for Progressive Wage Model (PWM) for the security industry with effect from 1 Sep 2016. For more information on STC’s recommendations for Security PWM, please click here .
Security personnel are expected to benefit from the PWM through the required WSQ training or Assessment-Only-Pathway (AOP).
The Security AOP is an alternative to the usual training with assessment route that is made available to experienced Security Officers (SOs), who already possess the relevant skills, experience and knowledge. The AOP allows these SOs to attain a Statement of Attainment (SOA) without having to undergo classroom training. Download a copy of the Security PWM brochure now.
